Among the activities offered by La Maison de Rompsay, a pleasant stroll along the water. Discover the beauty of the Marais Poitevin from the town of Marans located a few kilometers from La Rochelle.

Its birds, flowers, weeping willows and many other beautiful surprises await you in this natural region of France straddling the departments of Vendée, Deux-Sèvres and Charente-Maritime. The ensemble made up of the Poitevin marshes and the Aiguillon bay, a relic of the Gulf of Pictons, covers around 100,000 hectares: it is the second largest wetland in France after the Camargue. Part of it constitutes the regional natural park of the Marais poitevin.

On May 20, 2010, the so-called “green Venice” wetlands obtained the “Grand Site de France” label.

Lucia

Lucia is a Swedish motorboat from 1978 of 34 feet (10m36). Rare and elegant with its vintage amenities, fragile and delicate, this is not a classic hotel room.

On the Sèvre Niortaise, moored at the foot of the "Carreau d'Or" lock, you have a privileged setting, overlooking the stone bridge, the covered market and the very surprising bell tower of Marans, one of the prettiest ports in Charente-Maritime, gateway to the Marais poitevin, capital of the famous “Poule aux œufs d’or”.

For one or more exceptional nights…. you have your private cabin with toilet, shower & amp; soap dispenser. Duvets and sheets, pillows, pillowcases and towels will be provided.
Mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, crockery available. However, we are on a speedboat from the late 1970s. Electricity is scarce and precious as well as water.
Space is more restrictive,
And yet an unparalleled experience awaits you….

Opposite free parking.
Nearby is Super U, the market halls, restaurants, as well as the small town center shops, grocery stores, bakeries etc.
